Standen

Standen House was built in 1891 until 1894 for James and Margaret Beale and has some fantastic views over the Weirwood Reservoir. Discover the history of the house, and enjoy a walk around the gardens which showcase Camellia Japonica, hellebores, crocus, daffodils, and bluebells.

Dogs are welcome on short leads in the formal gardens.

There is also a lovely cafe for refreshments and a gift shop to wander around. There are plenty of footpaths that lead out onto the wider estate and woodlands so you can extend your walk if you fancy it and ideal if you are bringing your dog.

Standen is close to Nymans, so why not combine both in one trip?
