Hobgoblin Theatre Company’s brilliantly original, outdoor production of “The Unusual Adventures of Robin Hood” tells the classic tale of Robin and his Merry Men outwitting the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham with more than a little help from Maid Marian. But this time they are singing! A family-friendly summer treat.

10th July – 1st September
Get ready for Chichester and Arundel’s first large-scale outdoor art trail, in aid of local children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House.
Thirty big and thirty small owl sculptures will be swooping into public green spaces, Chichester high street and harbour, and Arundel’s historic town centre during the summer holidays, providing a fun and free day out for the entire family. Have fun ‘collecting’ each owl on the trail app, unlocking rewards from local businesses along the way, or pick up a paper map from the town’s libraries or Chestnut Tree House shops. www.thebighoot.co.uk

Saywell International Supercar Track Day in aid of My University Hospitals Sussex. Goodwood Motor Circuit will be open once again to the public to be part of the action. Come along and watch the world’s most spectacular supercars hit the circuit and get up close to the amazing motors during the track parade. Admission for the event is free and donations are welcomed. Archaeologists from DigVentures will be at Petworth on a special mission to trace the footsteps of Henry VIII. There will be daily tours of the dig site at 2.15pm, free family activities.

Based on the classic children’s novel by Edith Nesbit this performance has been reimagined for the stage including live music and puppetry throughout.

Illuminated by over 3,000 candles, Lumos Live presents an immersive outdoor concert where a string trio perform hits by Coldplay, The Beatles and Oasis.

The CPRE Sussex Countryside Day returns to the Knepp Estate, Dial Post, on Saturday, 7 September. The event is a chance to celebrate the Sussex countryside and find out more about efforts to protect and enhance it. Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of talks and tours, meet charity volunteers and sample the delights of Knepp’s Wilding Café and Shop.
Tickets are £5 per adult, kids go free. Opening times are 10am to 4pm.

This September welcomes back Brighton Art Fair for a special 20th anniversary edition. The city’s flagship contemporary art fair returns to the beautifully restored Brighton Dome Corn Exchange to show painting, photography, printmaking, 3D and mixed media works by over 100 artists from across the UK. 31st August 2024 – 3.30pm at St Nicholas’ church, Lavant
Join La Folie Consort in a lively performance of chamber works by Handel, Purcell, Friedrich the Great, and more, including classics such as Purcell’s “Cold Song”, in the beautiful Medieval church of St Nicholas’ in Lavant, relishing in the wonderful acoustics, and the historic ambiance.
Entrance free – no booking required! There will be a retiring collection in aid of Lavant churches funds.
