Nymans

Nymans is situated just outside Handcross and offers some beautiful gardens which look beautiful in all four seasons. Particular highlights are the magnolias, azaleas, bluebell woods and the beautiful rose garden which contains over 100 varieties of rose and beautiful rose arches.
In spring, you can find snake’s head fritillary in the Wall Garden. Moving into May and June, you can find beautiful sweet-smelling Wisteria around the gardens.
Set in the gardens is the house and ruins, which was once the home of the Messel family.

From 1 February onwards, dogs are not allowed in the gardens but are allowed in the woodland on leads all year round. Assistance dogs are welcome in the gardens.

Please see here for details on opening times and facilities and access information.

Why not download our Nymans Spring Checklist before your next visit, and tick off all the flowers you see!
