Why not enjoy the fresh air and go for a lovely countryside walk in Sussex? Whether you want to walk the South Downs Way or are looking for a nature reserve or somewhere new to take your dog, we have some suggestions for walks and routes in East and West Sussex.
We spend a lot of time walking in Sussex so we have shared some of our favourite walks. Some of our suggested walks are circular and helpfully marked up with distances and maps. Others are not mapped but instead are open areas and woodlands in which you can walk and explore yourself.
We also include a helpful PDF with the route directions and a plotted map on most of our walks and we are always updating our walks as and when we try new ones, so check back regularly to see what’s new! We’ve also split out the walks into short, medium and long-distance trails to make it easier to find the right distance for you!
Our walks on the South Downs Way include Chantry Post, Bignor Hill, Ditchling Beacon, Chanctonbury Ring, Kithurst Hill and Steyning.
If you enjoy any of our walks or have any feedback, please do leave a review where we have included a form or email us at info@discoversussex.org!
