7.5km Balcombe Viaduct Circular Walk
Distance – 7.53km – 4.67 miles
Parking: Ardingly Reservoir Car Park
This walk starts and ends at Ardingly Reservoir car park and takes you past the Balcombe Viaduct which is an impressive piece of architecture. The walk is a mix of quiet country lanes and fields with a number of stiles and can be muddy in places. It is a perfect length walk (took us around 2 hours) to enjoy the impressive views and the reservoir. We also have planned a longer 14km Balcombe Viaduct Walk if you are wanting something a bit more challenging.
There is plenty of wildlife to enjoy – we saw orange tip butterflies and cuckoo flowers in the Spring but would be very enjoyable in the Summer months too, especially as it goes along past the river which is very relaxing.
