Wakehurst Place

Wakehurst is situated in Ardingly near Haywards Heath, and consists of 500 acres of woodland and is home to the Millennium Seed Bank, the world’s largest seed conservation project, which is well worth a visit.

Wakehurst is also a great place to visit with children. Heading beyond the Mansion Gardens is Coates Wood, where the is the tree trunk trek, a log trail. There is also a labyrinth and plenty of other places to explore!

At present, the Stables Pantry is open serving hot drinks and snacks to take away.

Just a note: Whilst Wakehurst is owned by the National Trust, it is managed by Kew. Entry is free as usual to National Trust members, however, there is a charge for parking. Visit their website for more information.
