There are a vast array of historical places to visit in Sussex.
The historic Arundel Castle makes for a great day out – you can visit both castle and gardens. The castle was built at the end of the 11th century by Roger de Montogomery, Earl of Arundel and looks over the River Arun in Arundel. Arundel Castle also boasts a great many events such as plant displays and jousting tournaments. After you’ve explored the castle and grounds, why not grab a tasty lunch in Arundel – La Campania for an Italian meal or Juniper in Tarrant Street are both great options.
