About Bishop’s Palace Gardens

The Bishop’s Palace Gardens are located next to Chichester Cathedral and are a little hidden treasure from the bustle of the city. They are the perfect spot for a picnic or to unwind with a book. The Bishop’s Palace Gardens consist of 14 acres filled with herbaceous borders, and features including the Rose Pergola, Arboretum, Walled Garden, and Wildlife Garden.

Opening Times & Admission

The gardens are open from 8am until dusk. The gardens are open to the public for free.


Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the gardens.
